Editorial: The menace in the White House

Original post made on Jan 17, 2021

Hopes were high among many going into the new year, buoyed by the beginning of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. But the pandemic has become a backdrop in the aftermath of an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

In order to draw the conclusion he was inciting riots, one would need to hold the absurd position that his figurative speech ("fight like Hell") is literal and his literal speech (walk "peacefully and patriotically") was figurative.

Trump also said in the speech, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

No media outlet ever actually uses the entire quotes from Trump.

There is nothing more frighting than what is going on now with the mass censorship that is happening. No one on Parlor planned the riots on 1/10/21 It happened on Facebook. Yet the 5 Elites who run Silicon Valley, and them alone, will decide from now on who can say what and they will pick the next President.

"No media outlet ever actually uses the entire quotes"

Says the guy who can't even use Trumps complete quote? ("fight like Hell")

You mock your own attempt to defend trump by weakly editing the sentence.

Trump: “We fight like hell and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

The rest of the drivel is nonsensical - Trump (a true elitist) isn't being censored - he has a complete White House press corps at his fingertips. Why hasn't he held press conferences on this?
