Worth a listen

Two Palo Alto High students have graced listeners of NPR's "From the Top," a radio program highlighting classical musicians, on an episode airing locally this Sunday.

Pianist Cameron Akioka, 18, and guitarist Nicholas Padmanhaban, 17, are among the 11 featured performers who each have plenty of accomplishments to their name. Akioka is the youngest person to be inducted in the Young Artist Guild of the Music Teachers' Association of California and Padmanhaban is a National YoungArts Foundation merit winner for two years running.

The public can enjoy their musical stylings now by visiting fromthetop.org and tuning in to KDFC at 7 p.m. Sunday.
