Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) and five additional Bay Area animal shelters will take part in the annual Home for the Holidays Program this December and all six shelters will offer adoptions of adult dogs and cats for $12.
As there are over 1,300 homeless animals in Silicon Valley, the goal of this program is to find a home for every adult animal available on Nov. 28 by Jan. 1.
HSSV, Palo Alto Animal Services, San Jose Animal Care Center, Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority, Santa Clara County Animal Care & Control, and Town Cats have recently lowered their fee. Adoptable animals of HSSV can be found at the three neighborhood adoption centers in West San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View.

Do you have any other animals besides cats and dogs that need a home? I'm thinking pocket pets. Just curious. Thank you for offering the reduced fee. I believe it can benefit both the adopter and adoptee!

Humane Society of Silicon Valley does have pocket pets! I believe they display and adopt them out at satellite locations at Petco. I know I have seen them set-up at the Sunnyvale Petco. Not sure about Mtn View.
