Cajun Bowl, a new Louisiana-style Cajun seafood restaurant also serving Asian fusion seafood fare, has opened in San Bruno, rounding out the city's growing and diverse dining scene.

The restaurant opened about two months ago with an extensive menu of seafood options. Appetizers include items like fried calamari; coconut, lemon pepper and sweet sriracha shrimp; and shrimp po-boy sandwiches. There's also a raw bar, offering fresh oysters, plus a char grill serving grilled oysters and mussels served with garlic butter, cheese and breadcrumbs.

They've got shrimp and clam chowders on offer, and a wok menu including seafood garlic noodles, white sauce spaghetti, lobster and shrimp mac and cheese, pineapple curry seafood fried rice or Cajun fried rice, volcano shrimp and lobster, and a shrimp or lobster tornado – fried seafood with a house special garlic seasoning and french fries. There’s also a selection of seafood combos and seafood boil items like clam, crawfish, black- and green-lipped mussels, lobster and several crab varieties.

To drink, there’s soda, juice, smoothies and beer, and for dessert, diners can choose from fried doughnuts, New York cheesecake or chocolate lava cake.

The restaurant also offers a daily $1 happy hour beer special from 5-7 p.m.
