Opening alert: Nekter Juice Bar in Mountain View

Uploaded: Jun 26, 2014
Time to get your juice on, Mountain View. Southern California-based Nekter Juice Bar opened a new location at The Village at San Antonio Center today, June 26.

The Mountain View outpost is part of a massive expansion push and is one of 23 stores set to open in the next 23 weeks, including four others in Northern California (Sunnyvale, Napa Valley, Mill Valley and Danville).

"Our goal is to recreate juice the way Starbucks recreated coffee," CEO Steve Schulze said in a statement.

Nekter serves up classic fruit-and-vegetable juices like "The Buzz" (carrot, orange, lemon and ginger) or "The Sublime" (lime, orange, parsley, kale, spinach and cucumber) in 16-ounce ($4.75), 24-ounce ($6.75) and 32-ounce ($8.50) sizes. There's also smoothies (pre-set or make your own, same size and pricing as juices) and acai bowls (about $7). View the full menu here.

It looks like it's still in beta phase, but the company does offer an online takeout option.

Nekter is located adjacent to the shopping center's gateway plaza at the El Camino/San Antonio corner.
