About this blog: My wife and I moved to Mountain View in 2009, buying our house alongside Middlefield Road the same week as our third child was born. Since then, our two boys have grown up into public elementary school children, and our daughter is expected to follow them into kindergarten next year. My wife and I are both involved in our district public school, Stevenson PACT, and I've taken a keen interest in district-level activities such as the Measure C Parcel Tax Oversight Committee and the Measure G Bond Oversight Committee. I'm interested in learning more about ways to improve kids' educational experiences and outcomes, whether at home or at school. I am also always looking for interesting things to teach my own children at home, from electronics to foreign languages and beyond, and sharing these findings with other interested parents. My own educational background is Catholic primary and secondary schools in Orange County, Southern California, then Cornell University, where I met my wife, and also earned a B.S. in Applied and Engineering Physics and a B.A. in Computer Science. My formal education (has thus far) ended with an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

This evening, the Mountain View Whisman School District's Board Facilities Committee meeting will conduct its third meeting.
All interested members of the public are welcome to attend:
Time: 7:30 PM
Location: MVWSD Board Room, 750-A San Pierre Way, in Mountain View.
The agenda for tonights meeting is available at this URL:
http://mvwsd.org/images/Board_Facilities_Committee/agendas/Agenda-20131217.pdf
Perhaps the most interesting action item on the agenda tonight is a review of the "Topics for Board Facilities Committee" discussion that took place at the board meeting last Thursday.
I, and the other members of the Board Facilities Committee, welcome your attendance and input on these matters. Come let us know what's important to you, as the district goes about investing the proceeds of the $198 million Measure G bond money in our district school sites.
