About Kate
Kate Bradshaw reports food news and feature stories all over the Peninsula, from south of San Francisco to north of San José. Since she began working with Embarcadero Media in 2015, she's reported on everything from Menlo Park's City Hall politics to Mountain View's education system. She has won awards from the California News Publishers Association for her coverage of local government and elections, public service journalism and land use reporting.

She grew up in a small town in the Sierra Nevada foothills and graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in English. She has also worked as a grant writer for a children's literacy nonprofit and as a freelance reporter. When she's not chasing down her latest story, she can be found trail running in the Santa Cruz Mountains, browsing library shelves for her next read or hanging out with her rescue dog Willa.
