Voice sales rep Anna Mirsky is taking a sabbatical to travel solo around Asia. She's currently in Thailand.

It's my 10th day traveling and today started out with great promise! The plan was to visit a tiger park where brave tourists get to actually interact with the beautiful animals, then a native village and finally a king's palace.

Here is what actually happened: I woke up feeling a bit ill but convinced myself it would be OK. I've noticed that my positive mental attitude can sometimes border on denial!

We took my friend's motorbike and I threw up my last two meals about three-quarters of the way to our first destination. All this happened in front of some people's strawberry stand. Thai people are very nice and hospitable -- they gave me tissues and water. Not even a dirty look!

Once we got to the tiger park all I could do was lay on the lawn under a tree. After a few hours I hired a taxi to take me back to town. I've been laying down ever since trying to recover. Obviously I am not in charge here! Might try this adventure again in a couple of days.
