Fighting summer hunger

Summer may give kids a few months of reprieve from homework, math problems and essays, but for many students it means losing two daily meals.

Shame on these elderly folks complaining about young people! What happened to investing in future generations? The elderly get Medicare and pay 10% of the property taxes their neighbors pay. They couldn't afford to live here without their $10,000+ yearly handouts through Prop 13, yet they begrudge the cheap, [Portion removed due to offensive language] food going to poor kids.
