What I find more wrong is that the manager made the employees open up again after the robbery. Pretty much told them to tidy up like nothing happened. Poor employees being forced to keep open. It's all about the all mighty dollar these days.

Minimum wage workers should know better than to set foot in Mountain View. Mountain View hates the poor. They don't belong here. Maybe they'll get the message and leave.

Horrifying! I live down the street. This is what happens when people are kept down, poor and ignorant. It's only going to get worse until we decide as citizens of the globe that it's only going to work for humans to either vanquish money all together or completely level the playing field. I know people hate these notions, but really, how bad are we going to let things get before we make the huge choices necessary to live peacefully in health and harmony???

No such thing as an "anti-gun" law. We do need tighter firearm regulation to help prevent these sorts of crime though, apparently.

This is what happens when you have too much affordable housing and not enough jobs. Also to the person that said do away with money altogether, are you fricken High? I don't see that happening, and as far as leveling the playing field. How do you propose that is done? Give people fake degrees. C'mon live in reality, do away with money. lol

When will those criminals learn that they are breaking the law when they use guns when robbing a place. We need more gun laws in place to prevent this from happening again. Because if we pass more gun laws, then these criminals will finally get the message and stop using guns. Right?

I'm interested to know how y'all know the robbers were poor? It doesn't mention income in the article. It also doesn't mention motive. We may assume they robbed for the money. Perhaps the robbers are bored rich kids who did it for the 'thrill'.

"...vanquish money all together or completely level the playing field."

I think they tried that once... Somewhere in communist Russia. Look how well that turned out.

Need to be willing to pay more for burger or taco. CA is raising min-wage to 10 hour. Should be even higher.

Very scary and sad. Efforts used to connect this robbery with "the poor" are misled. There are other names for thieves and robbers, who live amongst us. I am glad no one was hurt, The psychological trauma was bad enough, much less physical injury.

What? Have you ever visited communist Russia? Had you seen the absence of money there?

We don't need new gun laws, we just need a fully funded ATF to actually enforce the laws. Most everyone agrees that not EVERYONE should have guns, but the NRA continues to fight the funding of the one group we task for ENFORCEMENT. The ATF has not had an actual head for years and years, only "interim" leaders. This is where the gun fondlers loose me. They sarcastically wise crack about the need for more laws, avoiding the REAL argument: Who will enforce the law if the ATF has no weight?

Now you see why we have thugs with guns, and now you know how to begin to stop it: Enforcement by a fully funded arm of the law, designated to enforce these laws. Also, for whatever their rea$on$, a strong ATF is something the NRA does not want.
