Two men were robbed at gunpoint this morning at Foothill College, a campus spokesman said. According to law enforcement officials, no one was hurt during the robbery and there is no current threat to the campus.

The robbery occurred at about 9 a.m. on Nov. 19, when a man approached two other men, brandished a handgun and then made off with their backpacks, according to Kurt Hueg, associate vice president of external relations at Foothill.

A Foothill press release describes the robber as a black man, about 18-25 years old, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall and perhaps 160 pounds. His hair was black and cropped close. He did not have any facial hair and was not wearing any jewelry, according to the two victims.

The robber was last seen running up from the footbridge onto campus with the two victims' black backpacks, the release said.

Two sketches have been produced based upon each victim's description of the suspect.

"....no one was hurt during the robbery and there is no current threat to the campus."

EXCUSE ME?!!? Someone shows up on a school campus with a gun with the sole purpose of robbing people, and THAT is not considered a current threat on campus? Who writes this crap?

This WAS A THREAT as I was at LAUMC in Los Altos at 10:30 am for my Tai Chi class. Our instructor was informed that we had to cease the class and get in back of the sliding doors. After a minute went by, we were then informed that there was no more threat! And this was at 10:30 am this morning.
