Investigators are asking for the community's help in identifying anyone who may have been victimized by a local man police say is a sexual predator.
According to police, Urieta had been renting a room from a Mountain View family for the past few years. During that time, investigators say, he had developed an increasingly inappropriate relationship with the family's juvenile son -- including sending "inappropriate messages" to the boy.
In the wake of Urieta's arrest, detectives are asking that anyone else who may have been inappropriately contacted by Urieta to come forward and alert authorities.
"If you ever come across any questionable material, and you believe the child may be the victim of a sexual predator, call us," said MVPD Det. Jessica Nanez. "Do not wait. It is our duty as adults, caretakers and responsible individuals to protect children from harm."
Police are asking anyone with any information on this case to call 650-903-6344 and reference case number 14-0939.
