A colorful time at the library

Margaret Rickling, 4, works on a picture she's drawing at the Mountain View Library's recent "Family Fest" event.

The Aug. 1 event invited children to come in costume as a favorite character, and included a pirate skit. The first 50 families to arrive were rewarded with a free copy of the new edition of Jim Trelease's "Read Aloud Handbook."
