Stolen vehicle recovery and arson at 800 block Reinert Road, 8/17

In the wee hours of the morning, police come across a four-door vehicle with its front-seat area engulfed in flames. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Redwood City. There was evidence that the vehicle was purposely set on fire, and the incident is under investigation.

Armed Robbery, Stop n' Shop, 799 East Evelyn Ave., 8/17

At around 10 p.m., two men entered the convenience store wearing dark clothing with masks on. One of them had a handgun and demanded cash. He received the cash and fled, stopping to grab a bottle of alcohol on his way out. The other suspect also fled. The men are described only as black male adults.
