A 26-year-old East Palo Alto man was shot and killed Sunday night in Mountain View at a spot where a number of people had gathered following the KMEL Summer Jam concert.

According to Mountain View police spokesman Jim Bennett, an argument had broken out between some of the people standing outside a strip mall on the corner of Old Middlefield Road and Rengstorff Avenue, and concluded in gunfire at 7:45 p.m, killing Ocomes Noel. The shooter fled the scene before police could arrive.

The crime is still under investigation, and police urge witnesses to call them at (650) 903-6344.
